About Ellin
I am currently a PhD student with official (i.e. hired by university) teaching experience. I have spent nearly a decade in academia, and during that time, I've also worked multiple software engineering jobs. Like everyone, I struggled in some topics in my undergrad, so I understand how it feels to be stuck and frustrated when learning. I am professional and can work with you to find a good arrangement where you can comfortably learn!

I was previously a tutor and course teaching assistant for the data structures course at UC Berkeley (CS61B), and I have extensive programming experience through industry work (Google, startup). I can teach intro CS topics and specialized topics (computer vision, data science, image processing). I prefer to tutor for specific courses, and a typical session includes reviewing lecture notes and discussion/recitation material to identify areas that need more focus. We can also walk through course assignments and projects together.
