About Fanny

Born and raised amongst the crops and cobblestones of Picardie (France), my formal education includes an undergraduate diploma in Art History and a Bachelor's in communication. Building on my love for language, I obtained the English-to-French translation certificate from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. My language skills and aptitude for deepening connections across communities are at the heart of my work as a tutor and translator. I live in the East end of Toronto with my partner, our amazing son and water dog. I love reading, travelling and spending time in the outdoors.

About the lesson

Shaping a lifelong appreciation for the French language and culture is my goal. I teach grammar, conjugation, and vocabulary, and I also believe there is much more to learning a language. Culture is the heartbeat of language and French has many heartbeats. As a translator and well-seasoned traveller, I strive to incorporate that pulse into my lessons and make them engaging.
Whether you are a parent looking for support for your child, a student needing help getting through an exam, or a complete grown-up wanting to remain inspired, I will help you reach that goal. Songs, games, poetry for kids, current events articles for adults; I personalize lesson plans based on interests and learning style.
