About Ike
I have been helping people with maths since year 11; from informal revision sessions with friends, working for a tutoring institution through recommendation, transitioning to private tutoring due to recognition from parents, before finally taking the step to teach maths properly at a secondary school.
I LOVE maths, but know many don't. So my goal and joy comes from helping others improve and begin to enjoy maths more.
Maths is a universal language that everyone has the ability to learn, just many don't know how to yet.

My approach is based on flexibility and adaptability. The core principles of practice and repetition remain, however my approach will depend on your personal traits.
Many students have disclosed that their understanding of maths was heavily reliant on how they were taught. So our first lesson will be determining how best you learn in order to find the teaching style and explanations that suit your needs.
I have been a private tutor for over a year, teaching children from year 5 (preparing for SATS) to year 11 (preparing for GCSE)
I have been teaching GCSE mathematics (ages 11 - 16) for over 2 years, and will be preparing to begin teaching A level mathematics very soon.
Lessons typically range between 1hr to 2hrs, but can be flexible.
