About Aliza
Hi! I’m a first-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Toronto who is passionate about helping students build confidence in math and physics. Having recently navigated high school math and physics myself, I understand where students typically get stuck and how overwhelming rigid formulas can feel. My goal isn't just to help students memorize steps, but to foster genuine understanding by connecting textbook theory to real-world applications—drawing on my hands-on background with 3D design and engineering projects. Whether you need weekly support to keep up with high school coursework, targeted help before an exam, or guidance on STEM fundamentals, I tailor every session to your unique learning style and pace.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and completely tailored to what you need each week, whether that's tackling tricky homework, preparing for a unit test, or getting ahead of the curriculum. We typically start with a brief check-in on sticky concepts, move into step-by-step problem solving using interactive digital whiteboard notes for clear visual learning, and spend time on guided practice where you take the lead so you feel truly confident solving problems on your own. I emphasize understanding why a method works over mindless repetition, and students are always welcome to share topics or questions ahead of time so we maximize every minute of our session.

Aliza and I were friends and classmates in high school, and so I can attest to her being one of the most hardworking, intelligent, and dedicated people I have ever met. She is truly a genius when it comes to math and physics, and she's helped me understand so many things I struggled with, especially in advanced functions and calculus and vectors. She explains things in a way that make it easy to understand and build a strong foundation in that specific topic instead of just assuming that you know everything and just going roughly the practice problems. Aliza was a also a math peer tutor and science scholar at our school so she has experience when it comes to tutoring. I can reassure you that with Aliza, you will recieve the support you need to succeed in any subject or class and that she will definetly help you build a strong foundation and problem solving skills to bring your marka up!
It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Aliza as an exceptional STEM educator and mentor for students at any level of study. Having known her closely, I can attest to her extraordinary academic prowess across all core disciplines, consistently demonstrating the mastery of a true math genius and a gifted authority in physics and chemistry. What truly sets Aliza apart, however, is not merely her formidable subject-matter expertise, but her remarkable talent for translating complex theoretical concepts into clear, digestible, and engaging lessons. Aliza fosters a supportive, structured, and confidence-building learning environment that empowers students to overcome academic anxiety and tackle challenging material with assurance. She possesses an intuitive teaching style that adapts seamlessly to individual learning needs, ensuring that every student builds both a rigorous foundational understanding and long-term problem-solving independence. For any student or educational program seeking a brilliant, dedicated, and deeply inspiring mentor, Aliza comes with my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation.
