About Carl Joel
My name is Carl Joel and I am an electrical engineering student at the University of Manitoba. I have a strong academic foundation in math and physics, achieving exceptional scores in both subjects throughout high school and university.
Engineering has strengthened my analytical thinking and structured problem solving skills, which I bring to every tutoring session. I am passionate about helping students develop their understanding and confidence in solving problems independently.
As a tutor, I provide structured, well-prepared sessions tailored to the student's needs. I maintain a professional and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges.
My goal is not only to improve grades, but to build a strong foundation that will support students long term academically.

My approach focuses on conceptual understanding, problem solving and building confidence rather than memorization.
My lessons are designed for grade 7 to grade 12 students who seek to strengthen their understanding of maths and physics concepts.
Each lesson consists of:
-Explanation concepts, so problem solving becomes intuitive.
-Guided problem solving to build structured thinking.
-Repetition to master the concept.
-Feynman technique to reinforce understanding.
I focus on how students think, not just the final answer. By strengthening their reasoning process, students will develop confidence, conceptual understanding and problem solving skills.
