About Jonathan
After graduation in Switzerland in electrical engineering, I moved to Canada and successfully completed a Masters and Ph.D. degree.
Over this time, I had the opportunity to lead students in their studies. I was able to provide them with guidance in their work through one-on-one teaching. They all graduated with flying colours.
I am passionate about math, physics, chemistry and any other electrical topics and enjoy passing on knowledge and understanding of fundamental subjects. I would like to help you understand science and give you explanations so that it finally makes sense. It is easy to learn and remember science once it truly started to make sense.
I work well with others and have a quick comprehension and structured teaching methods.

I believe that a good teacher is able to provide real life examples from previous projects and experiences in order to spark the interest and excitement of the student. Once the student’s attention is there, information and training can be provided. I see the teacher’s role to provide the course material in a logical and interesting way that is easy to learn. Another essential part of teaching is to listen carefully to the questions that arise during the learning process and be able to answer them.

Dear Sir/Madam
I have been Jonathan's direct superior as VP Production for about a year( Jan 2019 to December 31, 2019) and had the pleasure and opportunity to know him fairly well personally and as Operations Manager of our Peachland facility.
Jonathan had shown a great work ethic with dedication. detail oriented, thorough, and efficient approach. Beside strong planning and organizational competences, Jonathan also possesses diplomatic skills. His personable approach is appreciated and respected by his fellow workers and the team around him.
Jonathan has been patient, precise and articulate when explaining his ideas and giving instructions, and been a good listener when at the receiving end. I have no doubt that he will fit in for a teaching and tutoring position very well because he is a great instructor as he has proven by guiding and mentoring members in his team. He has introduced many new team members to new tasks and was able to provide answer to questions during training. He can spark excitement and interest in the people around him.
In addition to his teaching and interpersonal skills, Jonathan also shows exceptional skills in theoretical and critical thinking. I had the pleasure attending his Ph.D. defense and clearly noticed his academic and scientific mindset. Using the fundamental principles of (electrical) engineering, he was able to apply them to new research fields and questions.
I feel confident, that combined with all those qualities, Jonathan would be a remarkable teacher and instructor for students to grow in their education and personality.

Gatineau QCI had the pleasure of working with Jonathan over several years during his Master’s and Ph.D. studies as an industrial collaborator. I noticed Jonathan’s natural ability to pass on his knowledge in teaching others. He was able to explain and introduce the complicated technology to myself as General Manager in a way that was easy to understand and learn how it works. Therefore, I was able to support this project from a business and management perspective. In various other situations and countless times, he taught other project members with patience and understanding. He was able to create interest and motivation for the topic and with positive enthusiasm, he created an environment that allowed his fellow workers and other students that he mentored, to learn and understand the science and technology he was developing. I saw how the people around him learned from him and grew in their knowledge and were able to successfully apply the teachings themselves.
I also attended his Ph.D. defence, and I observed that Jonathan had the ability to present a complicated topic in a simple way that allowed people without previous knowledge of the topic to follow his content. Jonathan presented the topic with simple analogies and interesting connections to real life examples.
Jonathan has a very pleasant personality and people around him like him and feel comfortable to talk to him. Combined with his educational knowledge and practical experience, I could see Jonathan as a great teacher and tutor, passing on knowledge and supporting new talents in their growth.
"I worked with Jonathan for over two years in an industrial environment. He was the manager of a team of about 10 people and also responsible for training the staff. He is a good communicator and listener. He can explain a topic very simple and make it easy to understand.
