About Nick
Hi, I'm an Electrical Energy Systems consultant with two master's degrees, one in electronics and one in sustainability and climate. I'm also a hands-on electrician, so I know this material from the field, not just from the textbook.
My work in renewable energy and battery storage draws on physics, math, electronics and programming every day. That lets me show you why these concepts matter and how they're used in the real world.
You can count on me to show up on time, come prepared for each lesson and reply to messages promptly. Most of all, I'll be patient and encouraging, and my aim is that you leave every lesson more confident than you came in.

My approach: I teach for understanding, not memorization. We start with what's physically happening, then build the math on top of that intuition. I use sketches, real-world examples and short Python simulations, and I ask plenty of questions so we catch gaps early.
A typical lesson (60 min):
- A quick check-in on your current work and any deadlines
- A short diagnostic problem, so I can see where you're stuck
- The core concept, explained from first principles and followed by worked examples
- A problem you solve on your own while I coach
- A recap and a few practice problems for next time
What sets me apart: I'm a practicing engineer and electrician, so I can connect theory to real systems and give real answers to "when will I use this?"
Who it's for:
- Students aged 12+ (grades 7–12): math, physics, science and intro programming
- University and college students: circuits, electronics, physics and Python
- Apprentices: electrical theory and calculations
- Professionals: solar PV, battery storage and Python for engineering
