About Celia

I am an experienced flute tutor with 12 years of teaching high school, college students, and adults, having guided around 300 students so far. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, encouragement, and personalized guidance. I focus on technique, tone, rhythm, and music theory while helping students explore their own style and musical expression.

Lessons are designed to be interactive and enjoyable, combining structured practice with creative exercises and performance opportunities. I strongly believe that learning the flute should be a fun and fulfilling experience, where students feel proud of their progress.

Many of my students have successfully performed in concerts, recitals, school programs, and competitions, which are milestones I cherish. My goal is to create a learning environment that inspires students to build skill, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music while enjoying every step of their flute journey.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for flute is clear, adaptable, and focused on practical application. I begin by understanding each student’s musical background, learning style, and goals.

I explain flute techniques such as breathing, embouchure, finger movement, tone control, articulation, and rhythm in a simple and organized way. I maintain open communication so lessons remain interactive and effective.

I use real-life examples and musical case studies from live performances and recordings to help students understand how flute skills are used in real music.

Along with flute playing, I teach related subjects including music theory, rhythm training, ear training, scale development, sight reading, and basic improvisation. I also guide students on practice routines and stage confidence. My goal is to help students become confident and well-rounded flute musicians.
