About Beth

I am an experienced saxophone teacher with 9 years of professional tutoring experience and nearly 300 successful students. I teach high school students, college students, and adult learners at beginner and intermediate levels. Teaching saxophone gives me great joy because I get to be part of my students’ musical growth. My teaching approach is simple, structured, and student-friendly. I focus on building strong basics in breathing technique, finger movement, posture, rhythm accuracy, and sound production. Once students are comfortable with these skills, I move on to scales, exercises, songs, and stage performance preparation. I personalise every lesson based on the student’s ability, interest, and learning goals. I also guide students in basic music theory, ear training, sight reading, and simple improvisation. These skills help students understand music better and play with confidence. Many of my students have participated in school functions, college cultural events, and competitions. Some have also scored high marks in practical exams. I always motivate students to practise regularly and believe in their abilities. My aim is to make learning saxophone enjoyable and meaningful.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching approach focuses on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I aim to make learning music simple, enjoyable, and meaningful. Each student receives a customised learning plan based on their age, experience, and musical interest. I motivate students with consistent support, achievable goals, and regular progress reviews. With strong communication, I clearly explain posture, breathing, tone production, finger movement, scales, timing, articulation, and expression in an easy and friendly way. Integrity is the core of my teaching. I maintain respect, honesty, and discipline in every lesson. I focus on strong fundamentals and long-term growth. Creativity is added through song-based learning, backing tracks, improvisation practice, and performance activities. In addition to saxophone, I also provide training in music theory, rhythm practice, ear training, sight-reading, basic piano support, and performance skills. I prepare students for exams, auditions, and stage performances. My goal is to help students grow as confident and well-rounded musicians.
