About Harley
I am an enthusiastic Flute tutor with more than 11 years of experience teaching students from School, College, and working professional backgrounds.
My teaching method is student-centred and structured, ensuring steady improvement through clear explanations and regular practice. I focus on essential skills such as breath control, posture alignment, finger technique, tone clarity, rhythm consistency, and expressive playing.
Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, notation reading, sight reading, scale exercises, rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation. I also help students prepare for exams and public performances. My goal is to make learning flute enjoyable and effective.

I use a flexible and creative teaching approach for flute that combines communication, support, and active engagement. I explain concepts in simple language, demonstrate exercises, and provide step-by-step guidance for proper learning.
Open communication allows students to ask questions, discuss difficulties, and receive constructive feedback.
Creativity is emphasised through warm-ups, rhythm exercises, tone development, improvisation, and expressive playing to make lessons engaging and enjoyable. Lessons are adapted to each student’s learning pace, skill level, and goals.
Flute lessons include breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. Additionally, I teach related subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and performance skills to ensure comprehensive musical development.
