About Miley

Hi! My name is Miley, and I have over seven years of experience working with students of all ages. I previously worked at an elementary school working in a second-grade math class. I helped many students with homework, test prep & understanding more difficult concepts. In addition, I have been personally tutoring students for the past two years.

I am passionate about creating a supportive environment for students and helping grow their understanding :).

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive, and focused on helping each student learn at their own pace. As an Elementary Education major, I understand that every student learns differently, and I want to make math feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable. I break down problems into simple, manageable steps and use examples, practice problems, and fun activities to help students understand new concepts.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing what the student is currently learning in class and identifying any areas where they need extra help. We then work through examples together, practice problems step by step, and finish by reviewing what we learned to build confidence and understanding. I can also help students with homework, test preparation, and strengthening their foundational math skills.
