I am passionate about helping young learners discover the joy of learning and grow with confidence. With experience working with Pre-K and elementary students, I specialize in creating engaging, hands-on lessons that make learning fun and meaningful. My approach as a math tutor is student-centered, hands-on, and designed to make learning both fun and meaningful across all grade levels I support. For Pre-K and elementary students, I use songs, stories, visuals, manipulatives, and games to build strong foundations in number sense, counting, operations, and early problem-solving. For middle school students, I focus on connecting abstract concepts to real-world applications, using clear explanations, visual models, and step-by-step practice to strengthen skills in fractions, decimals, ratios, pre-algebra, and geometry. A typical lesson includes a short review, introduction of a new concept through modeling or demonstration, guided practice with interactive activities or problems, independent practice with my support, and a reflection to reinforce understanding and celebrate progress. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt to different ages and learning styles, making math approachable and engaging for young learners while also challenging older students to think critically and gain confidence. My lessons are designed for Pre-K through middle school students, whether they need extra support to master foundational skills or enrichment to move beyond grade level.
