I am working to engage all students by including culturally relevant pedagogy in my lessons. I have three years of experience working in urban classrooms as well as experience working with a diverse range of students. I aim to encourage my students that anything is possible with enough hard work and goal setting.
Currently an Education Undergraduate student at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I have experience substitute teaching in grades K-12 all subjects as well as tutoring experience in all grades. I have completed 300+ hours of clinical work in grades K-5 in a self-contained classroom. I have completed and passed both Michigan Tests for Teacher Certification exams in Social Studies as well as Elementary Education.
