About Sheena
I have been an Elementary multiple subject teacher for 6 years. My favorite subjects to teach are math and reading/phonics. I have been working with children for my entire adult career. I love seeing the light bulbs in the head light up when students start to understand a concept/ get excited about their learning. As a teacher, I know we make many mistakes while learning but that is part of the process and to not be afraid to make those mistakes.

My lessons are for students in elementary school. I teach common core standards- being able to understand strategies and not just rote memorization. Using manipulatives gets my students more involved and interested in the lessons. I teach many different strategies for certain standards and students choose one that works for them/they are able to explain.
