I take a whole student/ family/ school approach to teaching. I feel that by building that bond with students families and the school resource staff, I am better able to help each individual student. My lessons are data driven, however I know students have all different learning styles and speeds, by focusing on individual students I feel that I have a greater impact.
I am an a retired Fort Wayne Community School elementary classroom teacher with 20 years experience. I spent the majority of my years in grades 4&5 however I have worked in all grades 1-5. I spent two years as a reading and math interventionist.

I was involved with Fort Wayne Community Schools since 2000. During that time I taught students in grades 1-5, however the bulk of my teaching career was in the 4th and 5th grades.
I am native to Fort Wayne, graduated from North Side in 1992 then went on to IPFW where I graduated with a 4.0 in my major and a 3.9 overall.
I am considered 'Highly Qualified' and have the experience to work with all students in grades 1-5.
