About Kathleen
I have been an elementary school teacher for nearly six years. I became a teacher because I love helping children gain confidence in themselves as they learn new skills. Outside of teaching, I like to read, build puzzles, and play sports! I also enjoy traveling to new places.

I used a phonics-based approach for literacy instruction using the science of reading to help students increase their reading, writing, and spelling skills. Lessons will focus on specific student needs and include instruction in decoding, fluency, and comprehension to improve literacy skills. I will work with any elementary student who wants to grow as a reader over the summer!
