About Courtney
Hello! I am Ms. Melvin and I am so excited you have considered me to be your teacher this summer. I love everything about teaching-- seeing my students learn, creating relationships, and watching their confidence grow as they progress.
I became a teacher because I have loved everything about school: the atmosphere, acquiring new knowledge, and challenging myself. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Missouri State University, and my Master's degree is halfway completed.
I have worked in education for three years and it has allowed me to watch many students grow to be successful. I am so excited to help you reach your goals!

I utilize differentiated instruction to ensure I meet the needs of all students, regardless of their learning abilities. Instruction is tailored to students' struggles to push them to succeed.
A typical session will begin with a brief review of the foundational skills necessary for the lesson, and the skills will be built upon and practiced until the student can confidently and successfully utilize the skill.
Lessons will be curated for elementary students in grades 1st through 6th.
