I was born in Western Australia and commenced my University performance studies in Guitar in 2014. During this period I engaged in international competitions within Australia, with 4 first prizes. Immediately after I was accepted into the class of Judicael Perroy in Aulnay-Sous-Bois and eventually into his class at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where I am currently engaged in a full-time masters degree.
The accessibility of many levels and ages over time has always been appealing as a teacher, in being able to have the opportunity to nurture and develop a high level of students over a gradual process.
Many years of exposure to advanced guitar pedagogy from international tutors has allowed me to draw on a diverse range of information when teaching. The opportunity to synthesise the core teaching principles of the French, German and Spanish schools of thought have proved invaluable for the development of my students in the past. These lessons also helped me to decipher the most effective methods of delivering musical instruction while catering for a range of different learning styles.
It has been a pleasure for me to teach children in the past in guitar and in private music theory tuition. I have accumulated a considerable amount of experience in working with children during my time abroad in France as well as Australia, while teaching in conjuction with my University studies.
