About Bennett
I have 10+ years of experience as a Piano tutor and teach school students, college students, and working professionals. My teaching style is patient, practical, and flexible, with a strong focus on helping students reach their personal goals.
I believe every learner needs a different approach. I first understand their experience, goals, musical interests, learning style, and available practice time. I then create lessons that match their individual needs.
I teach piano basics, finger coordination, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song learning, improvisation, and performance skills. I use simple explanations and practical demonstrations to make each lesson easy to follow.
I encourage students to learn through active practice. Instead of only explaining a concept, I demonstrate it and then guide the student as they try it themselves. This helps build understanding and confidence.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, communication, accountability, and positivity. I encourage students to take ownership of their practice while providing the support they need to overcome difficulties.
I also teach time management and effective practice techniques. Students learn how to break down pieces, set small goals, and work consistently toward improvement.
A notable achievement in my nine-year teaching journey is gaining experience with learners from different educational and professional backgrounds. This has helped me develop a strong ability to adapt lessons and support different learning needs.
My aim is to help students become confident, creative, and independent musicians. Whether you want to learn piano for enjoyment, develop performance skills, improve technique, or understand music better, I provide personalized and encouraging lessons.

My piano teaching approach combines Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe students make better progress when lessons are connected to clear personal goals and enjoyable musical experiences.
I first discuss the student's current piano level, interests, previous experience, and expectations. I then create lessons that combine technique, theory, practice, and song learning. Students develop skills in posture, hand coordination, finger control, notes, rhythm, scales, chords, sight-reading, and musical expression.
I adapt my teaching methods according to each student's learning style. I use demonstrations, written examples, listening exercises, repetition, and practical playing. I explain difficult topics step by step and use simple musical examples.
Flexibility allows me to adjust the lesson pace and difficulty according to progress. I provide additional practice when needed and introduce more advanced activities when the student is ready.
Collaboration helps students take an active role in their learning. I encourage them to choose suitable songs, discuss difficulties, set practice targets, and review their progress.
I maintain a positive learning environment where mistakes are accepted as part of improvement. I encourage students to keep practicing and recognize their achievements.
Along with piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard skills, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to help every student reach their musical goals with confidence.
