About Sailor
I am a passionate piano tutor with over 19+ years of teaching experience, working with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I believe that learning piano should be a meaningful and enjoyable experience that develops both technical skill and creative expression.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised instruction tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I design lessons that build strong fundamentals such as finger technique, rhythm, hand coordination, and sight-reading, while gradually introducing advanced techniques. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to develop comprehensive musical skills.
Lessons are engaging and interactive, often incorporating song practice, creative exercises, and performance opportunities. I excel at simplifying complex concepts and helping students build confidence, consistency, and disciplined practice habits. My ultimate goal is to create a supportive, motivating, and inspiring environment where students can enjoy learning, grow as musicians, and achieve their full potential.

My piano teaching methodology combines communication, creativity, and flexibility to create an enriching learning experience. I start by understanding each student’s goals, musical preferences, and challenges. This open communication ensures lessons are relevant, enjoyable, and tailored to individual needs.
Creativity is central to my approach. Students are encouraged to experiment, compose their own music, and explore different genres, fostering imagination and self-expression. I also maintain flexibility in lessons, adjusting exercises and techniques to match each student’s pace and learning style.
Beyond piano, I teach essential subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, rhythm training, and ear development. By integrating practical playing with theoretical knowledge, students gain a deeper understanding of music and can express themselves more confidently. This methodology is designed to nurture skill, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.
