About MariLu
I graduated from Elon University in May, 2024, as a Music Production major with a minor in Mathematics. I’ve taken all math courses leading up to College Multivariable Calculus (algebra, geometry, Math 3, precalculus, AP calculus, etc.). In high school, I finished with a 100 final grade in AP Calculus and had an A overall average in all my of math courses. Throughout college, I had an overall average of A-/B+ for mathematics courses. I often helped others in my math classes with difficult concepts and complex problems by providing a new perspective on traditional concepts so that others could grasp them more easily.

I like to work with students one-on-one. This way, I can plan lessons based on their abilities and needs. I often enjoy coming up with tips and tricks to simplify the process of solving a certain kind of problem, which I can share with my student. My goal is to help my student better understand a problem or concept by looking at it in new ways.

MariLu tutored my son in math, from elementary school into middle school. My son has mild autism and ADHD and MariLu made him feel comfortable working with her. She took time to get to know him and approached their lessons in way that helped him to understand.
