About MOnt
Hi, I’m Monty Seward—a music educator, singer-songwriter, and musician with over 35 years of private music lessons experience. Music has been my lifelong passion, and I’ve been fortunate to work as a staff songwriter for the legendary Quincy Jones and collaborate with incredible artists like Kelly Clarkson, The Jacksons, Tyrese Gibson, Earth, Wind & Fire's Philip Bailey. I’ve performed at some of the most renowned events, including the Newport Jazz Festival, San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival, and New Orleans Jazz Festival. I have performed as a singer in Las Vegas tribute shows as Stevie Wonder and on many television shows over the years. My work has also extended into film and television, where I’ve contributed to multi-platinum album projects and soundtracks like *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* and created theme music for shows like *The Parenthood* and *Days of Our Lives*. When it comes to teaching, my approach is encouraging, personalized, and focused on bringing out the best in each student. I offer lessons in vocal performance, advanced voice techniques, music production, composition, and beginner piano.
