About Max
Hi, I’m Max. I graduated from Emory University with a degree in business, concentrating in Information Systems and Operations Management, and earned a 3.6 GPA. I also scored a 770 on SAT Math, placing in the 99th percentile.
After college, I went on to work as a data analyst for AIG and as a consultant for EY. These experiences strengthened my skills in problem-solving, data analysis, business, organization, and clear communication.
As a tutor, I am patient, organized, and clear. I understand that students often struggle not because they are incapable, but because the material has not been explained in a way that makes sense to them. My goal is to create a calm and productive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step.
I enjoy helping students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and develop better study habits that can help them beyond a single class or test.

Hi, I’m Max. My approach as a tutor is patient, clear, and step-by-step. I try to meet each student where they are, figure out what is confusing them, and then break the material down into smaller pieces that are easier to understand.
In a typical lesson, I first ask the student what they are working on and where they feel stuck. Then we review the key concept, work through examples together, and gradually move toward the student solving problems more independently. For test prep, I focus on both content review and strategy, including how to approach questions, manage time, avoid common mistakes, and build confidence.
What sets me apart is that I do not just give students the answer. I help them understand the thought process behind the answer so they can apply it on their own. I also focus on organization, study habits, and problem-solving skills, which can help students beyond one assignment or test.
My lessons are best suited for middle school, high school, and introductory college-level students. I can help with math, including algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and statistics, as well as accounting, finance, business-related classes, and SAT/ACT prep.
