About Amy
Hello! My name is Amy. I was born in California, but raised in Washington State. I graduated from college with a degree in Spanish and Peace Studies, and am planning to attend grad school this fall for my Master's in Social Work. I have worked in nonprofit for the last five years, and speak Spanish as a second language. I am passionate about seeing the world, understanding other cultures, and making a difference in the community.

Hey there! I am a native English speaker with bilingual abilities in Spanish of more than ten years. I have lived and studied abroad in Latin America, and am passionate about working with people from various cultures. I earned my TEFL certificate in Mexico in 2021, and my teaching style is engaging, collaborative, and hands-on. I believe the student holds their power in their own hands, and I am simply a guide in that direction.
A typical lesson plan may include a brief overview of the topic, an icebreaker question in English, real-life examples that feel relatable, and a time for self-reflection and live conversation.
