About Lynn
I am a passionate flute tutor with 7 years of experience teaching students from school to college level. Music has always been an important part of my life, and the flute allows me to express creativity and emotion. Over the years, I have helped many students grow from beginners to confident performers, and seeing their progress is my greatest achievement.
My teaching style is simple, patient, and easy to understand, focusing on strong fundamentals like breathing, tone, and finger technique. I also make sure lessons are engaging so students stay motivated. I believe music education helps build confidence and discipline, and my goal is to inspire students to develop a lifelong love for music.

My teaching approach for flute is centred on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to ensure students learn with confidence and interest. I create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable to learn. I begin by understanding the student’s strengths and areas for improvement so I can guide them effectively.
I motivate students by appreciating their progress and encouraging regular practice. Communication helps me explain techniques like breath control, finger placement, posture, and tone quality in a simple way. With integrity, I guide students honestly and focus on building strong basics. I correct mistakes patiently and support their improvement.
Creativity allows me to make lessons more enjoyable by including songs, exercises, and fun activities. Along with flute, I also teach basic music theory, rhythm, and listening skills to help students become complete musicians.
