About Ian
I have 9 years of experience as a singing tutor, and I am passionate about guiding students in their musical journey. I mainly teach school and college students and help them develop their vocal skills through structured and enjoyable lessons.
Over the years, I have seen many students grow from shy beginners into confident singers. Watching them perform in front of an audience after months of practice has been one of the most rewarding moments in my career.
In my classes, I focus on building strong fundamentals such as breathing techniques, pitch control, rhythm, and vocal expression. These skills help students sing with confidence and clarity. I also encourage students to practise regularly and stay motivated. My goal is to make learning music a positive and inspiring experience for every student.

My teaching methodology for singing is based on flexibility, creativity, understanding, and effective time management. I believe every student has a unique voice, so I adjust my lessons according to their ability and goals. I begin by helping students build strong vocal basics such as breathing techniques, posture, and pitch accuracy.
These skills help create a healthy and confident singing voice. Creativity is an important part of my lessons because singing is not only about technique but also about expression and emotion. I encourage students to explore different musical styles and develop their own singing identity.
I also focus on understanding each student’s learning pace and providing patient guidance. By managing lesson time well, I ensure that each class includes vocal exercises, song practice, and helpful feedback. Besides singing, I can also guide students in rhythm practice, music listening, and stage confidence.
