I matriculated as top two in a technical school, collected various engineering and math related awards until tertiary level. If you require maths and physics understanding an engineer is the best person to teach you since engineering is all about turning physics problems into mathematical models and then solve them. I give you background knowledge and build-up till concepts are fully understood, then teach their meaning and what their applications are.
