About Ghanage
Hey, I’m Ghanage and I have been tutoring for the last 3 years. I achieved 10 9’s in my GCSE in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, English Literature, French, Geography, Religious studies and Drama. I also achieved 4 A* at A-level in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics. I have experience in the following boards: OCR, CIE, Edexcel and AQA.
Tutoring is something I really enjoy because I get to share my passion for the subjects I have studied and interact with a range of people. I’ve helped students improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance through my teaching. I have worked with students from ages 5 to 18 in centres and privately.

I always ensure my teaching style is suited to each student. Some students can understand concepts relatively quickly whilst others may not, so I will always adapt the pace I teach, and listen to what the student wants. I hope to create a positive learning environment through encouraging the student to ask questions and reflecting on mistakes, so the student feels supported. During my lessons, I would go through a topic in a particular subject and provide practice questions until the student feels comfortable with the material, before moving onto the next topic. I will then revisit previous topics to make sure the student reviews them frequently, which proves useful for exams. I will monitor the student's progress by providing weekly quizzes at the beginning of the lesson and keeping a track of their progress to identify areas of weaknesses, which can be focused on. I also provide weekly updates to parents about their child's progress. During my revision, I would find past papers of great use so that is a key resource. Based on what the student and parent wants, I will be sure to adapt my lesson plan accordingly to make sure you get the most out of it.
