About Thomas
I have recently graduated from University where I achieved a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Politics and am now looking to gain further experience tutoring. I would describe my tutoring style as one which seeks to promote genuine interest and intrigue in the topic, by moving away from the classic teacher-pupil dialogue. Instead, I seek to tutor by engaging the pupil in regular debate about the topic at hand, through the creation of an environment in which they are not afraid to ask any questions they might have.
My tutoring experience consists of two periods at the end of 6th form when I was tutoring struggling students for their GCSE's and in 3rd year at university, whereby I led a weekly group which would seek to provide assistance to struggling first year students. These experiences have provided me with a solid foundation of how to create a tutoring environment which works for all levels of ability.
