About James
I've been teaching mathematics for over 18 years. I've taught honors students, general education students, and struggling students and I'm always, without exception, successful in getting students to understand the concepts. I very often have students state that they are better able to understand concepts when I explain it to them, as opposed to others that have attempted to teach them before. I hold myself personally accountable to my students that all understand the lesson's objective.

I like to break things down in a lesson so students can understand the concepts from a logical perspective. With algebra, in particular, I often teach in patterns so students can pick up the method to solving similar problems. I like to take a positive demeanor that approaches concepts from a "you can do this-let me just explain it to you" viewpoint.
