My Teaching Approach
I believe that every learner can understand Mathematics when lessons are presented in a clear, patient, and engaging way. As a Mathematics teacher with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, I use a student-centered and personalized approach based on each learner’s level, needs, and learning pace.
My Teaching Methods and Techniques
I explain Mathematics concepts step-by-step using simple language, examples, visual aids, guided practice, and real-life situations. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their own thinking rather than simply memorize formulas. I also use problem-solving activities, practice exercises, and immediate feedback to help learners identify and correct mistakes.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson begins with a short review or diagnostic activity to determine what the learner already knows. I then introduce the new concept through a simple explanation and worked examples. Next, we solve problems together through guided practice before the learner works independently. I end the lesson with a short assessment or recap to check understanding and identify areas that need further practice.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes me different is my patience, ability to simplify difficult concepts, and commitment to helping students build confidence in Mathematics. I do not only focus on getting the correct answer—I help learners understand why an answer is correct and develop problem-solving skills they can use independently.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for elementary and junior high school learners, particularly students who need additional support in Mathematics, want to strengthen their basic skills, need help with homework and assignments, or want to prepare for quizzes and examinations. I can provide lessons tailored to the learner’s specific grade level, curriculum, and learning needs.
