About Clara

With 20 years of piano teaching experience and nearly 300 students taught, I provide lessons that are structured, supportive, and goal-oriented. I work with high school learners, college students, and adults, helping them strengthen technical skills, expressiveness, and confidence in performance.

My teaching philosophy emphasises discipline, clarity, and consistency. I focus on posture, finger independence, scales, rhythm training, sight-reading, and coordination. I also encourage students to interpret music expressively, fostering a deeper emotional connection to their repertoire.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals and learning pace. I provide regular feedback and set achievable targets to track progress. Many of my students have excelled in graded examinations and performed successfully in recitals and school programmes.

I aim to create a motivating and positive learning environment where students feel confident, inspired, and capable of achieving their full potential as pianists.

About the lesson

My piano teaching methodology is built on communication, creativity, flexibility, and long-term musical growth. I believe piano learning should be clear, inspiring, and structured in a way that builds both skill and confidence. I begin by developing strong fundamentals such as correct posture, relaxed hand position, finger independence, rhythm accuracy, and note reading.

I explain each concept step by step in simple English so students understand what they are doing and why it is important. Communication is central to my lessons. I encourage students to share their goals, challenges, and musical interests. I provide clear demonstrations and constructive feedback so they can improve steadily. Creativity plays an important role in helping students connect emotionally with music.

I include improvisation, interpretation practice, and simple composition tasks to build imagination and expression. Flexibility allows me to personalise lessons according to age, level, and purpose, whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal enjoyment.

In addition to piano performance, I teach music theory, harmony, sight reading, and ear training to build complete musicianship. My goal is to guide students towards becoming confident, expressive, and independent pianists.
