About Jean-Baptiste
I gave private lessons throughout my studies at the Ecole Centrale, which allowed me to follow two high-school students and a student in the preparatory classes. At the same time, I was vice-president of the Central Égalité des Chances, which allowed me to accompany high school students in Paris for two years, whether in science tutoring, or when visiting museums, theater or exhibitions at Palais de la Découverte.

A successful course is one that makes key concepts clear, provides the means to succeed exercises, and above all to arouse curiosity for the subject. This is how I look at it, and what I try to achieve when teaching.
I am an intern at the University Paris-Diderot, in the Astroparticle and Cosmology Laboratory (APC) before I start my PhD in September. After a preparatory class Maths-Physics and engineering degree at Ecole Centrale de Paris, I decided to turn towards research in fundamental physics; and I intend to go on with the private lessons that I gave throughout my years of study. It is always a special moment between two students, where questions can be freely asked, where small "tips" and "tricks" are given easily, and where it is possible to think and study without the pressure of a class or of a teacher. This is why the student-teacher relationship has to be unique, allowing for adaptation to the pace and methods of everybody.
In general, I proceed as following: at first, one must understand the mathematical or physical concepts (which are generally not so complicated) the "hand-waving" way. Only then one can use the formalism to solve exercises.
