I have worked as a teacher/tutor since 2011

I have helped continuation students pass the then graduation test in California
I have helped juniors with raising their SAT score by 500 points in math

I believe that my undergraduate degree as a civil engineer and work experience as an engineer gives me a unique perspective on education in mathematics. I tend to see connections between real life situations and the Common Core Content Standards for Mathematics. Also, graduating from a Polytechnic, I firmly believe in a “learning by doing” environment.
My philosophy of teaching is student centered, my goal is to make math accessible to all students through differentiated instruction. I do this through technology and through utilizing group activities and cooperative learning opportunities.
