I am an engaging and dynamic educator who uses lived experience to make complex areas of the subject accessible through relatable real-world scenarios. I believe that if a lesson bores a student that I, as a teacher, am at fault. Science should be fun, interesting, and relevant... and when I'm delivering the lesson, it is!
The student very much leads my lessons. My lesson plans grow, evolve, and adapt to the specific needs of the student in the moment. Experience has taught me that any student led deviation from the prescribed lesson agenda is a learning opportunity which should be seized!
The qualities that set me apart from other teachers are my energy, theatrical delivery, holistic education methodology, industry and and life experience. I have extensive experience working with young people with additional needs such as autism and ADHD or who have previously experienced difficulties engaging in mainstream educational settings.
My typical student is in Grades to 6 to 12 and is seeking to get an edge; they may be contemplating a career which will require an esoteric and in-depth knowledge of the physics syllabus and beyond or may just be someone who finds the subject challenging, dry or intangible but wants to do well and needs a tutor with a bit of vim!
