About Brian
Hello! Teacher Brian here!
I used to be a Mechanical Engineer until I finally realized how much I disliked my field and that I needed change - immediately. After some deep thinking and many stressful weeks, I decided to give being a professional tutor a try; and boy howdy was that one of the better decisions I've ever made! 10 years later I have a job that I love and zero regrets! Compared to explaining technical concepts to V.P's and project managers, teaching students is a breeze!
I channel the same passion and love for math and physics that inspired me to become an engineer into every lesson! With a natural showmanship and unexplainable ability to be every kids favorite Uncle, I consider myself an expert in turning intense math hatred into mild dislike!

I have over 10 years of full time tutoring experience; or put another way, over 10,000 hrs in 1-on-1 and group teaching settings. My teaching style is mostly question based. There is no shortage of excellent videos explaining concepts online and students get enough lecturing in class. I find what most students need is someone asking them the right question at the right time to help ensure comprehension.
Book a lesson with me if you think an overly enthusiastic math nerd with years of experience and extra long hippie hair can help!
Also if you don't I might have to go back to engineering and you wouldn't want to be the cause of that would you?

Brian is the best math teacher ever!! Both my girls absolutely loved taking lessons with him and their grades soared when they did, as well as their confidence!!
He is fantastic with kids, funny, patient and knows how to explain things in different ways if they don't get it the first, or second (or third!) time.
So glad we found Brian, try his lessons, I promise you won't regret it :)Brian is awesome! He tutored me for Math 30-1 and AP Calculus! Brian kept every session upbeat and was very accommodating! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a remote tutor!
I highly recommend Bryan to both regular and special needs students. I have a son with ADHD who was struggling to focus at school—until we met Bryan. For the past six years, Bryan has supported, guided, and found creative ways to help my child learn. Today, my son has graduated, and it’s largely thanks to Bryan’s dedication.
All of my other children have also received tutoring and support from Bryan, and they are thriving in school. Bryan is not only knowledgeable, but also patient, kind, and truly caring. I’m deeply grateful to him. If my children are doing well today, it’s because of Bryan. Thank you,I've been working with Brian for several years now, and I can honestly say he's had a huge impact on my academic journey. From the very beginning, he has shown patience, dedication, and a deep understanding of how to support me through my studies. No matter how challenging things got.
What sets Brian apart is that he never gave up on me. Even in moments when I doubted myself or struggled to stay motivated, he stayed consistent, encouraging, and supportive. That kind of reliability is rare, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I trust him completely.
Thanks to Brian, not only have my grades improved, but I’ve also gained confidence in my abilities. He’s more than just a tutor.he’s been a a motivator, and a steady presence in my learning.
I would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for a tutor who is not only knowledgeable and skilled but also genuinely cares about your success.View more recommendations
