About Lucas
My teaching method is very flexible, varying according to the needs of the student. If the student wishes to be exposed to a certain content, I prepare a brief class of the subject concerned; however, if the student feels that he or she does not need to review the content and is only interested in solving exercises to practice it, I separate a collection of relevant exercises to work in class.

My name is Lucas, I am 22 years old, I am a student at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in my last semester of undergraduate courses in petroleum engineering, pure mathematics and applied mathematics with an emphasis on scientific programming. Since the age of 15, I have given private math and physics classes to high school students, and during my years at UFRJ, I was a tutor of Abstract Algebra I for Mathematics students for a year, and the discipline Linear Algebra II for one semester. In addition to the tutor related activities, I also gave private classes in Differential and Integral Calculus III and Programming for engineering students.

Depending on how deep a student want to cover a topic I may vary my fees accordingly, in particular, if a student just wants to superficially cover a topic, I'd be willing to offer a lower fee for the class.
