About Emily
I am an engineer with undergraduate and graduate degrees in civil and structural engineering from RPI. I have tutored mathematics to hundreds of students throughout college with experience in all age groups and difficulty levels. My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.

I first try and develop a relationship with the student, to understand their goals and strengths and allow them to feel as comfortable as possible. I try to encourage a fundamental understanding of basic principles instead of rote memorization. I meet the student at their level and use what has best worked for them in the past to get the most out of the tutoring experience.
