About Flavio

Looking to boost grades or build real confidence in maths or science? I’m a qualified Engineering and Applied Physics graduate, former Maths Olympiad champion, with over a decade of tutoring experience across GCSE, A-Level, and university foundation courses. I offer 1:1 tailored lessons, either online or in-person (London-based), to help students master exam techniques, understand concepts deeply, and stay motivated.

With children in both primary and secondary school, I’m closely tuned into today’s curriculum and teaching styles.

About the lesson

Everyone is different and everyone has a preferred way to be taught, to maximise the speed of learning , and my job is to find it, and unlock your potential. You can achieve these results only via 1:1 ad hoc taylored sessions.

Note to the student: In my experience, we’re really making progress when your improvement in maths or science starts to lift your performance in other subjects too. My goal is to unlock your potential—help you think in new ways, grow your confidence, spark curiosity, and yes, share a few clever problem-solving tricks along the way. I’m not a full-time qualified teacher—but that’s actually a strength. As a consultant, IT professional, and manager, I use this stuff in real life. I’ll show you how even the “boring bits” of maths and science are not only useful, but surprisingly fun when you see how they apply to the world around you.
