About Mauro

I had the oppurtunity to teach some Italian as private tutor to several nationalities and levels during my long stay abroad aside of reading some linguistics and second language learning literature out of personal interest. Moreover, I took a number of language courses in several languages and Countries to learn several foreign languages myself and developed a feeling for how being the learner is! This helps me seeing the language learning journey as a natural discovery with its ups and downs and growing steps without loosing trust!

About the lesson

After a short free talk to know your specific starting point and goals, we will create together a practical way to help you feel at ease with learning new vocab and practice mock situations to memorise naturally. Grammar will be integrated inside as much as possible to make it easier to digest. Comparison with other languages may also show up if helpful in clarifying some points.

Learner's of all levels and age are welcome, jot me down some lines describing your current level as you see it with strenghts and weaknesses or any special situation such as "holiday or business trip with xyz topic meetings or preparing for school test, university exams &alikes" in this way I can plan something dedicated to you before our first meeting!

My suggestion for a class is a 2-hour class to guarantee a full hour immersed in the learning with some extra time for thinking and prepare on the fly for side aspects that often arise from the original material.

As for text checkings or translations, we can agree on me doing it first and, upon your request, having a dedicated meeting together after to deal with aspects you would like to see a bit closer.
