About Rahim
I’m a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University with a strong background in mathematics, physics, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. Since graduating, I’ve worked as an engineer on large-scale projects and have continued developing my skills through further education in data science, machine learning, and AI.
Beyond my academic and professional experience, I’ve always enjoyed working with and supporting others. I’ve held leadership and mentorship roles in my community, including volunteering with youth, which has taught me the importance of patience, communication, and building genuine connections with the people I’m helping.
I know firsthand that being successful in school isn’t always about being the person who understands everything immediately. Sometimes it comes down to having someone who can explain things in a way that makes sense to you, encourage you when you’re struggling, and help you build confidence along the way.
I’m approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in seeing my students succeed. I want students to feel like they’re learning with someone who understands them, while parents can feel confident that their child is working with someone who takes their education and progress seriously.

My approach to tutoring is to make math and physics easier to understand by breaking concepts down step-by-step and adapting each lesson to the individual student. Rather than simply showing students how to get the right answer, I focus on helping them understand the reasoning behind it so they can approach similar problems confidently on their own.
I also believe that connecting with a student is an important part of helping them succeed. I remember being in their position and understand how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t click right away, or when you don’t feel comfortable asking questions in class. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
Every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand where they’re struggling and explain concepts in a way that works for them. Whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for an upcoming test, or simply becoming more confident in the subject, I genuinely care about helping each student make progress and become a more independent learner.
