About Karina
I love tutoring and sharing knowledge with others! Ever since I was young, I tutored classmates in middle school. In high school, I was an 8th grade summer school teacher teaching pre-algebra.
Later on in college, I helped college classmates on college level courses. I was a tutor for an online/call service for 3rd - 12th grade math and science program during college. For this, we had to keep interactions under 15 minutes, so I learned how to quickly change tutoring techniques if something wasn't working.
This is my passion, and I love growing from more and more tutoring interactions. It only makes me a better tutor!

I seek to understand the background of what they already know and build from that. During tutoring, I believe in visuals, mnemonics, practice problems. I taught and tutored, so I understand students have different learning styles and can accommodate to that quickly.
I am first generation and can help guide through what college applications look like and what it means to be a strong candidate.
Will do any K-8 math and science. Chemistry, biology, Spanish (native speaker), French (beginner) and any math.
