About Hamza

I am Hamza Mubarak, currently pursuing a PhD degree at Griffith University, Australia. I have been awarded the very competitive and prestigious “GU International Postgraduate Research” Scholarship with a full stipend and tuition fee waiver for my PhD at Griffith University. I completed my Bachelor degree (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from Hashemite University, Jordan, in 2016 and my Master of Engineering Science (M.Eng.Sc) by Research from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2021.
I have worked as a research assistant at the University of Malaya Power and Energy System (UMPES) laboratory. This position helped me learn how to conduct high-quality research and write and publish research articles in high-impact journals and at prestigious conferences like IEEE. For instance, I have published many ISI papers in a Q1 journals (Journal of Cleaner Production) with an 11.072 impact factor and published many IEEE conference papers, where I have won the best paper award. Furthermore, I am currently working on topics related to renewable energy and smart grid, which are in line with the United Nations SDGs 7, 11, and 13. Moreover, this position has also granted me an inside look at academic and administrative work. I have also gained many skills, such as performing research with large research groups, working with industrial projects, preparing research proposals for getting funding agencies, and performing clerical duties related to the research project.
I am interested in teaching because I love this job since I used to be a tutor for a long time, and helping students makes me feel happy.

About the lesson

As a teaching assistant, this position allows me to enhance my academic skills by interacting with undergraduate students. I taught the undergraduate students many subjects, such as engineering mathematics 1 and 2, physics, power system analysis, electrical circuits, and digital logic.
The typical length of a lesson is one hour. I have two years of experience as an engineering mathematics tutor, along with supervising undergraduate students' projects at the University of Malaysia (Ranked #1 in Malaysia). I used to teach high school and undergraduate students.
