About Ohm
Hey there! My name is Ohm, and I’m a mechanical engineering grad from the University of Ottawa. I’m passionate about teaching Math and Physics to students of all ages. I’m flexible with my schedule and session lengths, so we can find a time that works best for you. I’m all about helping you learn at your own pace, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Here’s how I’ll help you:
1. Connect the Dots: We’ll explore how the parabolas you graph in Algebra perfectly describe the path of a flying object.
2. Break it Down Step-by-Step: I’ll demonstrate my simple method for splitting complex motion into easy horizontal and vertical parts using basic vectors.
3. Use Your Math Toolkit: We’ll apply the quadratic equations you’re learning to solve real-world questions such as:
“How high did the ball go?”
“Where did it land?”
“How long was it in the air?”
4. Physics Made Clear:
We’ll use the kinematic equations from your physics curriculum (like `d = v₀t + ½at²`) but focus on understanding them rather than memorizing them.
5. Build Confidence: We’ll start with straightforward examples (like tossing a ball straight up) and gradually work up to angles and real-world scenarios at your own pace.
Why this works for you:
Fits Your Classes: Directly supports what you’re learning in Algebra 1/2, Geometry, and Intro Physics.
Solves Real Homework/Test Problems:
Targets exactly the types of questions teachers love to assign.
Builds Stronger Foundations:
Mastering this helps in future math and physics (like forces, energy, and calculus).
Personalized: We’ll use examples you find interesting – basketball shots, soccer kicks, or even water balloons!
Ready to finally “get” how math predicts where things land?** Let’s do this together – no actual rockets required!
