About Hana
I work as a Technology Consultant at one of the Big Four firms, where I use analytical thinking and problem-solving skills every day—skills that also strengthen my approach to tutoring. I hold a First-Class degree in Materials Engineering from a Russell Group university and studied Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at A-Level. My strong academic background, combined with a passion for helping others learn, allows me to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking, reading, and exploring different types of coffee, which helps me stay curious and engaged—qualities I bring to every lesson.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred and goal-oriented. I start by assessing the student's current knowledge to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons are tailored to address these gaps, with a focus on clear explanations, guided practice, and regular checks for understanding. I use real-life exam questions to help students become comfortable with assessment formats and set homework after each session to reinforce learning and encourage independent study. I have several years of experience tutoring students aged 6 to 18, covering everything from basic maths to GCSE and A-Level preparation. My lessons typically last 60 minutes and can be delivered online. I hold a valid DBS check and aim to build both confidence and competence in my students, whether they’re catching up, aiming for higher grades, or preparing for important exams.
