About Martin

I’m a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong background in Engineering, HVAC systems, and Business Studies. Alongside my technical experience, I’m also deeply interested in education and mentoring. I’ve supported students at various levels, from high school to university, and I truly enjoy helping others understand complex ideas in a simple, relatable way. Whether you need help with technical subjects like HVAC engineering, academic topics like Economics, Science, or Math, or practical skills like report writing or project management, I’m here to support your learning goals. I believe learning should be interactive, personalized, and stress-free, and I take pride in creating a comfortable space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at your own pace. When I’m not tutoring or working on engineering projects, I enjoy exploring how economics can be applied to real-life challenges, especially in health and infrastructure development. Let’s work together to make your learning experience effective and even enjoyable!

My Approach to Tutoring
How I Teach
I believe learning works best when it's personalized, practical, and engaging. My approach is all about meeting you where you are and helping you grow at your own pace.

I break down difficult ideas into simpler parts, use real-life examples, and tailor each session to your learning style—whether you’re a visual learner, someone who prefers hands-on practice, or just need things explained in plain language. I also like to keep things interactive and ask lots of questions so it’s not just me talking the whole time.

At the end of the day, I want you to feel more confident and capable after each session.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
Here’s a general idea of how I structure my lessons:

Quick Recap (5 mins) – We’ll briefly go over what we covered last time or start with a warm-up question to get in the flow.

New Topic (15 mins) – I’ll explain the new material, usually with examples or a visual explanation.

Practice Together (20 mins) – We’ll work through a few problems or exercises as a team.

Your Turn (15 mins) – You try a few problems on your own while I support you.

Wrap-up (5–10 mins) – We go over any remaining questions and highlight key takeaways.

I adjust this depending on your needs—some days we might spend more time practicing, other days we’ll focus more on explanations.

What Makes Me Different
I’m patient and approachable—you’ll never feel judged for asking questions or making mistakes.

I always look for ways to relate topics to everyday life, especially for subjects that can feel abstract.

I take time to understand your goals, whether it's acing a test, passing a course, or just finally “getting” a subject you’ve struggled with.

I also make sure to track your progress so we can celebrate the wins and stay on track.

Who I Work With
I work with a wide range of learners, including:

High school and college students who need help with school subjects or exam prep

University students working on technical courses or projects

Adults and professionals brushing up skills for work or personal growth

Non-native English speakers improving their spoken or written English

Anyone who needs a bit of extra support, especially in:

Math, English, Science

Economics, Business Studies

Engineering concepts (especially HVAC)

Whether you're struggling with something specific or just want to feel more confident in your studies, I’m here to help in a way that works for you.
