About Christopher
I'm an Engineering Masters student at Imperial College London, on track for a First (77%). Before that, I was an Academic and Music Scholar at Winchester College. At Winchester, I achieved straight 9s in GCSEs and straight A*s in A levels. In my academic career, I've consistently figured out how to ace exams and get the grades I wanted. In my spare time, I build robots in my garage and post them on YouTube. I also hold an LTCL diploma in Piano and Grade 8 in Violin and Viola. I volunteered to teach at primary schools for several years, and I've tutored undergraduate students while at university.

Growing up, I was tutored several times, and I hated it - I remember the time I fell asleep during a maths tutoring session. Because of this, I know that teaching isn't about lecturing someone for an hour and hoping it makes sense. I know that the best way to teach is to encourage students to come to results themselves, rather than be given the answers straight away. I know that learning should be something fun and interactive, not something that bores you to sleep. When I taught physics at a local primary school one year, and then debating the next year, I learned the value of learning through discussion and collaboration as opposed to being lectured. I am flexible on lesson duration, with most lasting one hour, and I am suited to teaching GCSE, A level and university students.
