I have undergraduate and masters degrees in mechanical engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
I have completed a training course on teaching.
I teach multibody physics in college to classes of 70+ students.

I believe that many maths students are held back by gaps in basic knowledge. This causes confusion later on when new thories are learned that rely on this previous knowledge. When a student comes to me with a problem that they don't understand, I like to first identify where these knowledge gaps are and fill them in. Oftentimes this alone results in a lightbulb moment, where the student is then able to reason through the problem.
