About Sami

I have a solid background in chemical and biochemical process engineering fundamentals. I have experience of tutoring university students one on one and or groups of students, enabling them to achieve the highest levels of academic excellence in their chosen modules of study within chemical engineering. I aim to make my lessons both enjoyable and very rewarding for students and encourage them to ask questions during lessons so they are able to get the most out of their time being taught. The most beautiful gift you can give anyone is the gift of confidence and fulfilment and this is exactly my aim with each and every lesson we have together. To see my students flourish with respect to their exam grades is an indication that my teaching has benefitted them on an intellectual level but more important than being a good chemical engineer I want my student to be the citizens of tomorrow - responsible and caring to the needs of others.

About the lesson

I teach either through TEAMS or similar platforms or one on one in person at home if my student lives locally.

My teaching style is very relaxed and friendly. I like to nurture my students and aim to get the best out of them. I give them the care and attention they deserve to overcome all their learning challenges during their BEng/MEng degree programmes.

My lessons focus on the key Chemical Engineering fundamental modules such as:
Separation Processes
Fluid Mechanics
Thermodynamics
Heat Transfer
Chemical & Biological Reactor Design
Process Control
Colloidal Science & Nanotechnology Biological Products & Optimisation

I also assist final year BEng or MEng students write up their Design Projects, helping with HYSYS Simulations work that shows Process Flow Schematic, Heat, Mass & Energy Balances, Descriptive Process Writing, Design Calculations & Equipment Sizing, Selection & Specification as well as Commercial Feasibility/Costing and Environmental Impact Statements.

I also provide leadership and specialist career advice and coaching for students prior to them entering their professional lives. This will be with an aim to boost their confidence and give them clear insight into finding work life balance they need to lead healthy and productive lives.
