About Suhani
Build Strong Coding Foundations. Learn to Think Like a Computer Scientist.
I’m a Master’s researcher in Engineering at the University of Alberta specializing in software engineering and intelligent systems. My academic and research background spans programming, algorithms, data structures, and applied AI, allowing me to teach coding with both technical depth and clarity.
I have 2+ years of experience teaching high school students online, where I help students move from syntax-level coding to real problem-solving. I focus on explaining why code works, building logical thinking, and developing clean, structured programming habits.

My name is Suhani, and I am a Master’s student in engineering research with experience teaching high school students online. I tutor programming and science with a focus on clear explanations, structured learning, and strong fundamentals.
My teaching approach is concept-first: I explain the underlying ideas before moving to code, formulas, or problem-solving techniques. Lessons are interactive and practice-oriented, combining short explanations with guided examples and hands-on exercises to build confidence and independence.
A typical lesson includes a quick review, introduction of a key concept, worked examples or coding exercises, and targeted practice based on the student’s goals. I adapt each session to the student’s level and learning pace.
My lessons are suitable for middle school and high school students, as well as introductory undergraduate courses, especially in programming, math, and science subjects. I aim to create a supportive online learning environment that helps students understand, apply, and retain what they learn.
